NOTES: Photo showing view into the adjoining room. A site-specific piece built into a 110 degree corner in the Buffalo Arts Studio gallery. The viewer walked up to the top of this 'overlook' and could look into a hole cut into the gallery wall to peer down into the space adjacent. The view focused on yellow lines painted on the concrete floor, remnants of the space's previous life as a windshield wiper factory. The piece uses the form of a scenic overlook usually found overlooking outdoor vistas and insteads offers gallery viewers a slightly raised view of the gallery itself, and into the next room. |
